Providing Dignity: Our Ongoing Partnership with Madlug
Posted 2nd July 2026
Strong partnerships help us create better opportunities for care experienced young people. That's why we're delighted to continue our partnership with Madlug, a social enterprise whose mission closely aligns with our own.
Founded in 2015 by Dave Linton, Madlug was created after he discovered that many children entering or leaving care had to carry their belongings in bin bags. Determined to change this, Dave built a business with a simple but powerful purpose: for every bag purchased, Madlug donates a Pack-away Travel Bag to a child in care. He commented: "No child or young person should ever have to carry their life in a bin bag. We are incredibly proud to partner with the National House Project, combining our mission with their fantastic local house projects to ensure that care-experienced young people across the country can move with the value, worth and dignity they truly deserve.”
Through our partnership, Madlug has provided 60 Pack-away Travel Bags to each of our 19 Local House Projects, meaning more than 1,100 care experienced young people will always be able to move their belongings with dignity.
This partnership is a great example of how organisations with shared values can work together to make a practical, meaningful difference to the lives of young people. By combining our national network of Local House Projects with Madlug's commitment to restoring dignity, we're able to ensure support reaches young people where it's needed most.
Madlug has been a fantastic partner, and we're incredibly grateful for their continued support and commitment to care experienced young people. We look forward to building on our partnership in the years ahead.
Partnerships like this show what's possible when organisations share a commitment to improving young people's lives. If your organisation is interested in working with the National House Project to create opportunities for care experienced young people, we'd love to start a conversation.
